The Alamo!

Aaron was right! The answer is the Alamo. (Now I'll be accused of nepotism!)

Now that you've seen how it is played, maybe I'll do another one next weekend (if anyone is into it). The blogoshpere is so quiet on weekends, so it give you something to think about, right? We gotta put that noggin to work! It's just about association, so be brave and take a guess--all wrong guesses help eliminate options and it takes a few clues to get it because they are often a little convoluted. I mean, something in a purse is a hard question to answer and I didn't think you'd believe me if I said "gunpowder".

Next time I'll choose one that is a little more universal, for the Aussie who insinuated that Davy Crockett is not a universally-known hero... WHAT?? Doesn't everyone, the world over, learn that song in 2nd grade?

Happy Memorial Day! or Happy Monday! depending on where you live ;-)

Enjoyed the game, and learnt a thing or two!

I did know he was a hero, just wasn't really sure why (or, if he was real, and not an old disney movie character, actually)...

But, I didn't know it was memorial day, so have a good one :)

Darn, I missed the question. But I just drove by the Alamo yesterday, so can I get partial credit?

Hi Annje, thanks for the comment the other day. We were away in Argentina for a few days (birthday celebration/visa run) so I only just saw it. Where are you going to be setting up shop in Chile? We're on the coast between Valpo and Santiago. Those cupcakes you mentioned sound divine. I just made a Texas Chocolate Sheet Cake right before I left. Pure crack. The neighbors devoured it, didn't even leave us a crumb.

Have driven all over your lovely country, but never stopped off at the Alamo. BTW, who doesn't know about Davey Crocket? Seriously, I'm from Canada and we know about him. He immortalized that rakish raccoon hat, mountain man style afterall...

You're too cerebral for me. I think if I was going to play this again, I'd need a nice glass of wine. Which wouldn't help my brain power at all, but who doesn't need a nice glass of wine?

Aha! that's why I didn't (and don't) get this game at all. I didn't go to the second grade.

Now that that mystery's solved, I will go back to not understanding something else, and not your game!

Glad your brother won. I figure he deserves it. What does he get?
